We are so glad you are considering a Sweet as Pie Golden Retriever!

Golden Retrievers are smart, energetic dogs that need owners who are committed to their care. The following process is designed to ensure that each puppy will go to a good home. Feel free to contact us directly with with any questions you may have!

1. Fill out the Client Questionnaire. No money or commitment is made by filling out the Client Questionnaire, but please carefully read through the Purchase Agreement and Warranty before submitting it. 

2. We will contact you and let you know if you've been approved to buy a Sweet as Pie Golden Retriever puppy. 

3. After you have been approved, your name will be added to our "Buyer" list in the order that your questionnaire was received. Your place in line for choice of puppy will be reserved until the puppies are two weeks old. (You can call and remove your name at any point if you decide not to buy a puppy.)

4. After the puppies are born, you get to pick your puppy! Video and pictures of the puppies will be available on our website, and we also encourage you to set up an appointment for an in-person visit.

5. Once you have picked your puppy, you can secure your choice by filling out the first portion of the Puppy Purchase Agreement and Warranty and paying the $300.00 non-refundable deposit. This can be done in-person during your visit using a check; we also provide an option for e-signature and online payment via PandaDoc. (Please contact us to request the electronic contract.) Once the payment is received, we will change the puppy's status on the website from AVAILABLE to RESERVED with your initials beside it!

8. Your puppy will be ready to go home with you at eight weeks old. The remaining $2,200 must be paid by check at the time of pick up. If you desire to pay online, please request a link for secure digital payment before picking up the puppy. We ask that you pick up your puppy no later than 9 weeks of age* unless you have made special arrangements with us. 

*Puppies are ready to be with their new owners for critical bonding and socializing time by 8 weeks old. A boarding fee of $20.00 per day may apply if your puppy needs to stay with us after it turns 9 weeks old.
